Mieke (Ch Dakota von der Saalmuhle) was our hippie. She was our first import (Germany) and was an amazing free spirit and everybody and every dog she had ever met just loved her. She was always ready for fun and adventure and with her around the atmosphere was always light and friendly.  She saw to it and would give her special barks when she thought that dogs weren’t kind enough to one another. Her emotional IQ was very high. If one was experiencing a rough patch Mieke would quietly be close.  Just a soft nuzzle or a head being rested on your shoulder would give you the clear message that she understood and was helping you cope. Our blonde girl whelped a litter of 10 in a few hours, fast and efficient, and then continued to raise them in her loving, and no nonsense way.
